Russia launches massive UAV attack on Odesa: explosions ignite fires and cut power

"Kyivskyi district, be careful! Explosions are heard in the southern parts of the city—stay in safe places. The attack is ongoing! Odesa, please remain in safe locations," Trukhanov stressed.

At the same time, according to Dumskaya, some Odesa residents reported power outages. Additionally, residents noted a large fire in the city following the Russian attack.

DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, reported local emergency power outages in Odesa's Prymorskyi, Peresypskyi, and Kyivskyi districts.

In turn, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, reported that the Russian military has changed its tactics for drone strikes on Ukrainian cities.

"Odesa, hold on. The Russian Federation has adjusted its tactics for drone attacks on Ukrainian cities—they are now using large numbers of drones to overwhelm air defense systems, mobile units, and electronic warfare," he noted.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, reported that Russian drones are striking civilian targets in Odesa. He also mentioned that there are already initial reports of casualties from the attack.

"Odesa is on fire—Russian drones are hitting civilian objects in the city, and there are victims," Yermak stated.

Later, the Office of the President reported that three people were injured, including a minor girl.

The attack also caused damage to civilian infrastructure, including:

• A residential high-rise building
• A mall
• Shops

As a result of the Russian attack, large fires broke out in three locations.

Earlier, on the night of March 15, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Odesa region, causing significant damage.

Additionally, on the night of March 20, Kropyvnytskyi faced the most massive enemy drone strike to date. The attack damaged residential buildings and caused injuries, including to children.
