Record high: more Americans see US aid to Ukraine as insufficient

The results of a Gallup poll released on Tuesday show that almost half of Americans believe that US aid to Ukraine is insufficient, and nearly two-thirds would like increased military support if Russia violates the expected ceasefire.
Rubryka reports this with reference to the results of a Gallup poll.
It should be noted that there is a record increase in this indicator for the entire time of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
For example, 46% of Americans believe that the US is not doing enough to provide assistance to Ukraine, 16% more than in December. At the same time, the share of those who believe that the US is doing too much (30%) or enough (23%) has significantly decreased.
This figure reaches 79% among Democrats, 46% among independents, and 12% among Republicans.
The sociological company explains these trends with the current US President Donald Trump's policy towards the Russian-Ukrainian war. The survey was conducted from March 3 to 11, after failed negotiations between the presidents of the United States and Ukraine at the White House and Washington's announcement of a pause in military aid to Kyiv.
The highest percentage of Americans who assessed US aid to Ukraine as insufficient (in August 2022) was 38%.

Two-thirds of French citizens back continued aid to Ukraine and deployment of peacekeepers post-war – survey
The share of Americans who believe that the US should continue to support Ukraine to return its territory, even if it takes a long time, reaches 53%:
- 82% of Democrats,
- 54% of independents,
- 22% of Republicans.
Regarding a potential agreement to end the war, 79% of Americans are concerned about the expectation that Russia will violate it. In addition, about 70% are worried that this agreement is too beneficial for Moscow.
When asked what they would like the US to do if Russia violated the terms of the agreement, 64% indicated increased military aid to Ukraine. US airstrikes on Russian military facilities in Ukraine would be supported by 42% and the sending of ground troops – by 30%.
The increasing number of Americans advocating for stronger support for Ukraine might compel the Trump administration to reassess its policy on the conflict, particularly if Russia breaches a potential ceasefire agreement.
For reference:
The recent survey showed that 46% of respondents are confident that Ukraine will be able to continue fighting the aggressor despite the reduction or termination of American aid. However, more than a third of those surveyed (36%) also think that this is not the case. This indicates that a significant part of the population is ready to continue the resistance even in the event of an adverse scenario for Ukraine.
