Russian forces hit critical infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia and injure seven in Donetsk region's Druzhkivka

In the evening of March 8, Russian invaders launched strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the region, hitting critical infrastructure: a fire broke out. The enemy also shelled Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region, as a result of which seven civilians were injured and seven high-rise buildings were damaged.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported that on Telegram.
Zaporizhzhia region
According to the regional head, there was a report of a strike drone threat after 8 p.m., followed by the activation of air defense systems.
Later, Fedorov reported on the strikes on the city and the region.
"The Russians launched strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the region. As a result of enemy shelling, a fire broke out. Preliminary, no casualties," the head of the regional military administration emphasized.
Fedorov specified that up to 10 explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia.

Later at 10:47 p.m., Fedorov reported that the Russians had attacked critical infrastructure.
"Due to enemy strikes, there may be restrictions on gas and heat supply. All emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences," he noted.
Later, the head of the regional military administration added that, as a result of hitting a critical infrastructure facility in the Zaporizhzhia region, gas consumption needs to be limited.

Fedorov also published photos of eliminating the consequences of the enemy strike.
In total, during the day, the invaders launched 478 strikes on 13 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, namely:
- The Russian Federation carried out four air strikes on Huliaipole and Charivne.
- 310 UAVs of various modifications attacked Zaporizhzhia, Bilenke, Lutserna, Andriivka, Kamianske, Piatykhatky, Huliaipole, Shcherbaki, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Novodarivka.
- 7 MLRS attacks covered MalaTokmachka, Novodarivka, Shcherbaky and Preobrazhenka.
- One hundred fifty-seven artillery shells were launched on the territory of Kamianske, Piatykhatky, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Novodarivka.

Donetsk region
Filashkin noted that as a result of the shelling of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, on Saturday evening, there were injuries and damage to houses.
"Seven more wounded in the Donetsk region – this time in Druzhkivka. The city came under enemy fire late tonight," he wrote in the message.
Based on preliminary information, he also indicated that seven high-rise buildings were damaged.
Filashkin added that the full impact of the shelling is still being assessed.

On the night of March 8, Russian forces executed a series of three attacks targeting a residential area in the city of Dobropillia, located in the Donetsk region. These assaults tragically resulted in the deaths of at least 11 individuals and left 30 others with injuries of varying severity.
Later it was clarified that number of wounded raised to 50.
On March 7, the Russians shelled settlements in Donetsk region 19 times. Fifteen people were injured due to enemy attacks, and one person died in Kostiantynivka.
Private houses, high-rise buildings, administrative buildings, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged as a result of the shelling. 549 people, including ten children, were evacuated from the front line.
