Ukrainian diaspora organizes Mariupol Unconquered art exhibition in Estonia

In the museum of the Estonian city of Valga, an art exhibition titled "Mariupol Unconquered" was opened as part of the events marking the third anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The exhibition will be held until March 15.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia reported this on Facebook.

The exhibition was organized by the Ukrainian Society and the Kalyna Saturday School in the city of Valga, headed by Ruslana Dovha. Its curator is Mariupol artist, promoter, and honorary member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Valerii Yurychkovsky.

Participants in the opening ceremony of the exhibition included:

• First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia, Inna Bibik;
• Head of LELEKA MTÜ, Inna Karaulshchikova;
• Head of the Ukrainian public organization MTÜ Mariupol Free, Nataliia Lohozynska;
• Valga parish elder, Monika Rogenbaum;
• Museum director, Neeme Punder;
• Representatives of the Ukrainian community;
• Mariupol residents who could leave the city and currently live in Valga.

"Mariupol is a symbol of pain, struggle and indomitability. Mariupol is one of the most painful wounds of this war. The city, which until February 24, 2022 was home to over half a million people, became a victim of barbaric Russian aggression.

Destroyed houses, thousands of innocently killed, mass graves under the city walls, separated families and endless pain – this is the reality in which Mariupol found itself," the diplomatic mission emphasized.

Simultaneously, this exhibition serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring pain, ongoing struggle, and indomitable spirit within the hearts of Mariupol residents and all Ukrainians. It commemorates those who perished, honors those who survived, and acknowledges those still awaiting freedom.

It should be noted that earlier in February, a photo exhibition "Mariupol – a city of happiness, a ghost town" opened in the Estonian city of Viljandi.

A rally was held on Freedom Square in the Estonian capital Tallinn to mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

It should be noted that a photo exhibition titled "Resilience in Unity" opened at the Zoloti Vorota metro station in Kyiv. The exhibition features photos from the first days of despair and fear to the gradual restoration of some areas of life.

Additionally, it was reported that the "Diaries of Time" exhibition by sculptor Mykhailo Reva, an Honored Artist of Ukraine, has opened at the Union cultural center in Odesa. The exhibition features graphics, paintings, and sculptures crafted from fragments of Russian missiles and other war artifacts.
