Solutions from Ukraine: developers create offline AI app for studying traffic rules

IT developer Oleksandr Pavelko and designer Yelyzaveta Horbachova have launched the "PDR.ai" application, incorporating artificial intelligence and a virtual assistant. This app facilitates quick and easy learning of traffic rules and assists in exam preparation for obtaining a driver's license, even without internet access.

What is the solution?

The idea of ​​creating the "PDR.ai" application appeared about a year ago.

"My girlfriend started studying traffic rules and was looking for various learning applications. She faced the problem of incomprehensible interfaces and confusing explanations, which was the impetus for creating our product," Oleksandr said.

Two IT enthusiasts brought the idea to fruition: Oleksandr Pavelko, who served as the project manager and technical developer, and Yelyzaveta Horbachova, who was a designer and marketer. During the testing phase, five individuals collaborated with them, assisting in refining the product to its final version before release.

The development of Dorozhko, a personal AI assistant, took approximately a year. The application, including its AI-based features, will initially be entirely free for all users.

How does it work?

The application was based on exclusively real questions and theoretical materials from official sources. Also, the virtual assistant Dorozhko, created based on ChatGPT, has been integrated. He acts as a digital mentor.

Dorozhko can:

• explain complex topics in detail,
• answer questions,
• support the learning process as a real teacher would do.

The application features interactive tasks, a convenient format, and a minimum of dry theory. It also implements a local data storage function. All necessary training materials and tests are downloaded to the device immediately after installation. This allows the user to take tests and study even without an Internet connection.

As of midnight on February 19, the application has been exclusively available for iOS users. It can be downloaded here.
