Drones hit oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, Russia allegedly downs 90 UAVs

On the night of Monday, February 17, drones attacked an oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of Russia. The Russian Defense Ministry said that their air defenses allegedly neutralized 90 drones and a Neptune-MD guided missile.

Attack on the Krasnodar region
Veniamin Kondratyev, the governor of the Krasnodar region, reported an attack by Ukrainian drones on the area.
He said that as a result of the fall of debris in the village of Ilskoye, Siversky district, according to preliminary information:
- 12 houses were damaged,
- a resident was injured.
The Telegram channel Shot reports, citing residents, that the drones attacked the Ilsky oil refinery.
"The governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, reported an attack by Ukrainian drones in the area. Around 1 a.m., loud explosions were heard in the sky, and preliminary data indicates that several air targets were shot down.
The wreckage of one UAV fell near a local refinery, igniting a fire. Emergency services are currently on the scene addressing the situation."
Statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the alleged interception and shooting down of 90 Ukrainian drones.
"Over the past night, 90 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by regular air defense systems," the report says.
According to the agency:
- 38 drones were shot down over the Sea of Azov,
- 24 in the Krasnodar Krai,
- 15 over the temporarily occupied Crimea,
- seven over the Black Sea,
- two each in the Kursk and Rostov regions,
- one each in the Bryansk and Belgorod regions.
In addition, the Russian military claims that a Neptune-MD guided missile was allegedly destroyed over the Sea of Azov.

As reported, on the morning of January 15, unknown drones attacked several Russian regions. Explosions were heard in Rostov-on-Don, Novomoskovsk in the Tula region, and Engels in the Saratov region. An oil refinery was targeted in Volgograd, and an "industrial facility" caught fire in the Kaluga region as a result of the attack.
It should be noted that in the Tver region of the Russian Federation on the night of February 13, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine again hit the Andreapol oil pumping station.
Also, on the night of February 11, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked and hit an oil refinery of the occupiers in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation.
