For reference:

Since the evening of February 16, Russian drones have been launching attacks on Ukraine, prompting air alerts in several regions. Over the night of February 17, Russian forces deployed 147 Shahed strike drones and various simulator UAVs in their assault. Air defense systems successfully neutralized 83 of these targets, with aviation support involved in repelling the attack.

That night, drones attacked the Kyiv region. According to the Kyiv Regional Council, damage was recorded in four districts of the Kyiv region as a result of the shelling. One person was injured.

  • A private house was damaged in the Boryspil district. A man born in 2003 received an arm injury. Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, noted that he was provided with the necessary medical assistance on the spot.
  • Three private houses and two cars were damaged in the Obukhiv district.
  • A production workshop was on fire in the Vyshhorod district. The fire was quickly extinguished.
  • A warehouse fire broke out in the Fastiv district but has since been extinguished.

Task forces continue to work to record and eliminate the consequences of the attack.

The enemy also targeted Kharkiv, where shelling in the Kholodnohirsk district damaged an outbuilding and the windows of 14 private houses, according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration. The attack resulted in three people experiencing an acute stress reaction.

Enemy shelling disrupted power grids in Kherson, causing a partial power shortage in the Dnipro and Central districts. The situation is particularly challenging in the Korabelny district.

Zaporizhzhia also suffered an attack. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, the assault damaged windows and roofs in 15 apartment buildings and six private houses, leaving several residential buildings without power.
