Russian drone attack in Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region, injures five

Russian troops have been actively firing on the Nikopol district in the Dnipropetrovsk region since the evening of February 16, resulting in injuries to nine people.
The Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office reported this.
The investigation reveals that on the evening of February 16, the Russian army shelled the city of Marhanets. On the morning of February 17, it launched a drone attack on the Chervonohryhorivska community.

As a result of these enemy attacks, nine civilians were injured.
"Five people were injured in the Chervonohryhorivska community, which is in the Nikopol district. The enemy hit it with a suicide drone," he wrote.

According to Lysak, women aged 36, 57, 60, 71 and a 62-year-old man were injured. One of the injured was hospitalized in moderate condition. The rest will be treated on an outpatient basis. In addition, the following were damaged:
- residential buildings,
- educational institution,
- administrative building,
- gas station,
- enterprises,
- legal center,
- shops,
- cafes,
- cars,
- power lines.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violating the laws and customs of war.

The regional military administration reported that a 52-year-old man in Nikopol died from a shrapnel wound, while another resident, aged 74, sustained injuries.
Additionally, Russians shelled villages in the Marhanets and Myrivska communities, but there were no reported deaths or injuries, according to Lysak.
He informed that at night, units of the East air command destroyed two Russian drones over the region.
The day before, on February 15, local police processed almost two dozen applications and reports of shelling.

Since the evening of February 16, Russian drones have been launching attacks on Ukraine, prompting air alerts in several regions. Over the night of February 17, Russian forces deployed 147 Shahed strike drones and various simulator UAVs in their assault. Air defense systems successfully neutralized 83 of these targets, with aviation support involved in repelling the attack.
That night, drones attacked the Kyiv region. According to the Kyiv Regional Council, damage was recorded in four districts of the Kyiv region as a result of the shelling. One person was injured.
- A private house was damaged in the Boryspil district. A man born in 2003 received an arm injury. Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, noted that he was provided with the necessary medical assistance on the spot.
- Three private houses and two cars were damaged in the Obukhiv district.
- A production workshop was on fire in the Vyshhorod district. The fire was quickly extinguished.
- A warehouse fire broke out in the Fastiv district but has since been extinguished.
Task forces continue to work to record and eliminate the consequences of the attack.
The enemy also targeted Kharkiv, where shelling in the Kholodnohirsk district damaged an outbuilding and the windows of 14 private houses, according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration. The attack resulted in three people experiencing an acute stress reaction.
Enemy shelling disrupted power grids in Kherson, causing a partial power shortage in the Dnipro and Central districts. The situation is particularly challenging in the Korabelny district.
Zaporizhzhia also suffered an attack. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, the assault damaged windows and roofs in 15 apartment buildings and six private houses, leaving several residential buildings without power.
In addition, in Sumy, a Russian strike drone hit a service station building. There were no casualties, but the structure and cars were damaged.
