What is the problem?
Ukrainian women face significant mental health challenges, compounded by the ongoing effects of Russia's war in Ukraine. The war has not only created direct threats to their safety but also led to displacement, loss of loved ones, and economic hardships.
Beyond the stress of war, women in Ukraine also confront societal pressures, such as gender inequality and limited access to mental health services. These multifaceted issues create an urgent need for dedicated support to help women cope with anxiety, trauma, and the pursuit of personal well-being.
What is the solution?
The application allows users to record their emotions and the events that caused them and also add a calendar for systematic analysis of their condition, breathing techniques, etc.
After users write down their emotions, they can read a positive affirmation.
"The idea of FABU emerged from the awareness of the importance of mental well-being — mine, the team, and the community of SUITSME players. Many users wrote that the fashion game helps them reduce stress and endure difficult periods.
I was especially inspired by the story of a military woman who told how SUITSME helped her overcome stress and recalibrate her thinking. I realized we could create an even more targeted application to meet such requests," SUITSME CEO Halyna Yefremova said.

How does it work?
The developers indicate that the application provides an opportunity to express your experiences through creativity, in particular by dressing a virtual model according to your mood.
After tracking emotions, the program selects clothing colors to describe the user's state.
"The whole nation is in a difficult emotional state, so it's important to have tools that help you stay on track. Establishing a self-care habit can be difficult, but game mechanics make this path easier," Halyna Yefremova noted.
The application's target audience is women, so the developers have added only a female avatar for now. However, men can also download FABU and use the techniques to improve their mental well-being.
For reference:
SUITSME is a femtech company in the Genesis ecosystem. Its specialists create products for the well-being of women around the world. Halyna Yefremova founded the company in 2020 in Kyiv.
Rubryka previously reported that Ukrainian students had developed the UNIVERA application for universities, facilitating the effective resolution of administrative issues through a convenient digital format.
Additionally, Rubryka has compiled a comprehensive article featuring applications beneficial for veterans, wounded soldiers, and their families. The collection includes apps designed to assist with rehabilitation, facilitate communication in areas with minimal connectivity, and offer various other supportive functions.
