Ukrainian urban project wins The Plan REAL ESTATE AWARD for the first time

For the first time in the history of The Plan Real Estate Award, an urban project from Ukraine has been honored with this prestigious recognition. The project, Vlasne Misto, achieved a significant milestone by winning in two categories: Environmental Social Management and Urban Space Restoration.

The success of the autonomous city project Vlasne Misto highlights Ukraine's progress in recovery and its adoption of modern urban development strategies. According to the team behind Vlasne Misto, initiatives like this could serve as a model for other regions and attract international investors.

"During the award ceremony in Milan, the entire hall looked at us with admiration. We ourselves did not expect two victories at once, but this once again proves that our country really has a powerful potential in the field of urban planning," the project CEO Yaroslav Korniachenko says.

According to the developers, the first autonomous city in Ukraine is being constructed just 7 kilometers from Kyiv. This ambitious project spans 600 hectares and is designed to accommodate 47,000 residents.

The project's creators aim to build a city that operates independently of centralized systems, ensuring energy self-sufficiency and prioritizing environmental sustainability and comfort for its residents.

Vlasne Misto includes eight key areas of development:

• energy;
• medicine;
• agro;
• hospitality;
• innovation;
• real estate;
• business.

"This approach allows you to create a sustainable economy within the city and minimize its dependence on external resources. This is the first project of this scale in Ukraine," the authors of the project note.
