The Ministry of Defense has officially codified and approved the "Marichka" field kitchen for deployment within Ukraine's armed forces. This kitchen is specifically designed to prepare meals in the field for units of up to 250 personnel.

The Main Directorate for Supporting the Life Cycle of Armaments and Military Equipment reports this.

The "Marichka" field kitchen, produced by a Ukrainian enterprise, aims to replace older Soviet models. In its development, the manufacturer incorporated feedback from military personnel to modernize and enhance the preparation of hot meals in the field. Additionally, the design considered the advantages of field kitchens used by the army of a NATO country.

The new field kitchen is built on a single-axle chassis of a truck trailer. Compared to the Soviet model, the Ukrainian "Marichka" has a number of advantages:

  • In particular, with similar overall dimensions, the domestic model can cook twice as much of the first and second courses.
  • In addition, the kitchen has two 55-liter ovens, the necessary dishes, and technical containers.

"Marichka" runs on diesel or solid fuel. Thanks to the optimized heating system, it cooks dishes faster, using less fuel.

The built-in modular umbrella cover eliminates the need for setting up an additional tent, thus saving time when deploying the kitchen to its operational position.

For reference:
It should be noted that the Ukrainian company Robotic Complexes has unveiled its latest innovation, the "Pliushch" ground drone. This advanced drone features a 10-meter retractable mast capable of supporting a repeater and electronic warfare (EW) systems.

The company has reported that it is currently delivering the "Murakha" logistics ground drone, built on this tracked platform, to the Defense Forces. The "Murakha" drone is specifically designed to transport cargo up to 1 ton and evacuate wounded personnel.

The mobile firing point "Bohomol" has also been developed. It is equipped with a turret and a 12.7 mm machine gun.
