United to win: Rheinmetall delivers five more Caracal assault vehicles to Ukraine

German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall has delivered five more of the latest Caracal assault vehicles to Ukraine.
The German Aid to Ukraine project reported this on the social network X.
"Rheinmetall today announced the delivery of a further five Caracal air assault vehicles to Ukraine financed by the German government," the report says.
Thus, the total number of these vehicles delivered to Ukraine has reached 20, and five more units will be delivered soon.

Caracal is a tactical airborne vehicle created based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 464 civilian SUV.
Mercedes-Benz manufactures the chassis, and the final assembly and retrofitting is done at Rheinmetall enterprises.
The vehicle can be transported in cargo compartments and on external suspensions of CH-47F Chinook and CH-53K King Stallion helicopters.
Thanks to the modular design of the Caracal tactical vehicles, various types of weapons can be installed and combined on them—from machine guns to anti-tank missile systems. Additional ballistic protection can also be integrated optionally.
The vehicle is equipped with a six-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of 183 kW, which provides a maximum speed of up to 140 km/h. Thanks to the all-wheel drive, the Caracal has high off-road capability.
In November 2024, Rheinmetall announced that it would supply Ukraine's armed forces with Caracal airborne tactical vehicles.
