Gennadii Butkevych stated that he is the first football club owner ready to take a lie detector test

Gennadii Butkevych called for transparency in football and suggested that club owners take a lie detector test to prove the sincerity of their intentions to reform the refereeing system.

"Football must be transparent and fair. I am the first club owner ready to take a lie detector test. I propose that all other presidents do the same. If we want change, then let the questions not be about the past to clarify previous scandalous situations, but about the present and the future. The main thing is that everyone openly demonstrates good intentions for positive changes. Let's forget the past and build a new system for fair refereeing and a championship based on sporting principles, not relationships or influence.

It is the clubs that must ensure referees receive decent salaries, the best training, but also have the ability to demand high-quality work on the field. I believe that these reforms will allow Ukrainian referees, over time, to become some of the best officials who will consistently officiate Champions League matches and other top international tournaments", – quotes the official website of FC "Polissya".
