100 Russian drones strike Ukraine, efforts to mitigate damage underway in seven regions

On the night of January 28, the Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 100 Shahed attack drones, as well as various types of simulator drones. 65 of them were shot down, and another 28 UAVs did not reach their targets.
The Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces reported that.
The military reported that on the night of January 28, starting from 8:00 p.m. on January 27, the enemy launched an attack using 100 Shahed combat UAVs and various simulator drones. These attacks came from several directions: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda in Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by:
- aviation,
- anti-aircraft missile troops,
- electronic warfare units,
- mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces.
The military destroyed air targets in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson regions.
"As of 09:30, the shooting down of 65 Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of other types has been confirmed," Ukraine's Air Force said.
An additional 28 enemy simulator drones lost their location without causing any harm. Two flew towards Russia and Belarus, and one drone is still airborne as combat operations continue.
"As a result of the attack by Russian UAVs, buildings of private enterprises, infrastructure facilities, apartment buildings and private houses, and vehicles were damaged.
There were no casualties, and the injured were being provided with assistance. Special services are eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack in the Odesa, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions," the military added.

As the Air Force reported, the occupiers began launching UAVs from the south at about 8:00 p.m.. After 10:00 p.m., new groups of drones appeared from the northeast and in the Donetsk region. Drones also moved in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Odesa, and other regions.
As a result of the enemy drone attack:
- in the city of Kharkiv, a civilian enterprise was hit in the Novobavarskyi district. Two people received stress reactions;
- in Rohanska territorial community of the Kharkiv region, a private house and garage were destroyed as a result of a drone crash. Four private houses located nearby were also damaged. Two people were injured;
- in Uman, Cherkasy region, the power supply was damaged – energy workers are already working on its restoration. "Umanvodokanal" is operating on generators, but water is supplied to the house;
- in Chernihiv, two private houses were partially destroyed due to a drone attack;
- in Kyiv region, a building where a retro car museum was located was hit – 36 cars were destroyed and damaged, private residential buildings and private cars were also damaged in the region;
- in Odesa, houses were damaged, cars were burned, and four people were also injured as a result of a drone attack.
