Russia attacks Kyiv region with drones, killing three

The Russian military launched a drone attack on the Kyiv region, causing fires and destruction in Fastiv district and Brovary. Three people lost their lives. Rescue teams are still working to address the aftermath of the strike.

The acting head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, and the State Emergency Service reported that on Telegram.

Due to the attack of Russian strike drones in the Kyiv region, a high-rise building and a private house were damaged, and fires occurred.

"As a result of the fall of debris from a downed target in one of the settlements of the region, a fire broke out in a 10-story residential building in several apartments. The destruction of the facade on floors 6-9 is recorded," Kalashnyk said.

According to him, in another settlement, a fire broke out in a private two-story house with an area of ​​120 sq m.

"The deceased was found in a private house on fire due to falling debris from a downed target. The fire has now been extinguished.

The second deceased is a 36-year-old man in another settlement, where a 10-story residential building was damaged," Kalashnyk later reported.

Two people required medical attention following the fire at the site of the damaged high-rise building. A 26-year-old man sustained superficial burns to his upper respiratory tract, while a 38-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction.

Kalashnyk added that the lists of victims of the attack are being updated, and they are being provided with all necessary medical assistance.

"The fire has been extinguished. Currently, a safety point for residents is operating at a school near the damaged high-rise building. A tent with water and hot drinks has also been organized at the site," the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration noted.

In the morning, the State Emergency Service reported that Russian drones caused significant destruction in the Fastiv district and the city of Brovary.

In the Fastiv region, a 10-story building was damaged – a fire raged there, and there was destruction on the 6th-7th floors.

Rescuers evacuated 150 residents. They rescued an injured man from the 6th floor and a trapped woman from the 9th.

"A deceased man born in 1988 has been found," the State Emergency Service reported.

In Brovary, the wreckage of a UAV destroyed a residential building. A fire covering ​​120 sq m also broke out and was extinguished at 4:14 a.m.

"The body of a deceased man born in 1966 has been found; the search for his wife born in 1965 is ongoing," the State Emergency Service concluded.

Emergency services also reported that 49 rescuers and 13 pieces of equipment were working at the scene, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service supported the victims. In addition, a point of invincibility was deployed.

Later, the National Police reported that three deaths were already known in the Kyiv region due to the Shahed drone attack.

It is reported that as of 7:30 a.m., one apartment building and 11 apartments had sustained damage in one district of the Kyiv region.

The police added that eight private houses, three cars, a shop, an outbuilding, and a fence were damaged in another region district.

"Unfortunately, three people died. A 26-year-old man also received burns. The victim was taken to the hospital, where all necessary assistance is being provided," the police said.
