Ukraine repatriates bodies of 757 fallen soldiers
As a result of the repatriation measures, Ukraine managed to return the bodies of 757 fallen soldiers.
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reports this.
Among the repatriated defenders are:
- 451 from the Donetsk front
- 71 from the Bakhmut area
- 51 from the Vuhledar area
- 13 from the Luhansk region
- 137 from the Zaporizhzhia area
And another 34 dead were returned from morgues on the territory of Russia.
The Coordination Headquarters, the General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service, and other structures of the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine worked together on the return of the fallen.
The International Committee of the Red Cross also facilitated the return.
As explained in the Coordination Headquarters, Ukraine's armed forces personnel transport the repatriated fallen to designated state specialized institutions, organize the transfer of the deceased to law enforcement officers in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, and conduct forensic medical examinations in the Ministry of Health system.
They promise that investigators, together with expert institutions, will identify the deceased in the "shortest possible time."

According to the results of repatriation activities:
- at the end of April, the bodies of 140 dead were repatriated, most of whom participated in the fighting in the Donetsk region,
- in June, the bodies of another 254 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine.
On August 2, Ukraine returned another 250 bodies of fallen defenders.
On October 18, Ukraine managed to return 501 bodies of fallen defenders.
On November 8, Ukraine returned 563 bodies of Ukrainian military personnel.
The last exchange of bodies of the dead took place on November 29. 502 fallen servicemen were returned to Ukraine.
