President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated US President Donald Trump on his inauguration.

The greeting was published on Zelensky's page on the X social network.

"I congratulate President Trump and the American people on the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States. Today is a day of change and also a day of hope for the resolution of many problems, including global challenges," the greeting reads.

Zelensky noted that President Trump is always decisive, and the policy of peace through strength he proclaimed provides a chance to strengthen American leadership and achieve a reliable and just peace.

"This century is being shaped right now, and we must all work together to ensure that it is a great and successful century for democracies, not those who want us to fail.

We wish you success, President Trump! We look forward to active and mutually beneficial cooperation. We are stronger together, and we can provide greater security, stability, and economic growth to the world and our two nations," the President of Ukraine emphasized.

As reported, January 20 is Donald Trump's first day in office as the 47th President of the United States, since his inauguration.

For reference:

On January 20, the inauguration ceremony of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, took place in Washington. This is his second term as head of state.

For the first time in 40 years, Donald Trump's inauguration is taking place indoors – in the Capitol Rotunda. The reason for this was the deterioration of the weather due to the Arctic wind. As the New York Times wrote, it can accommodate 600 guests.

Money for the organization of Trump's inauguration was donated by a number of well-known companies and businessmen from both the United States and around the world. For example, Toyota allocated $ 1 million for the inauguration of the Republican. Other donors also included Jeff Bezos' Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg's Meta, Ford Motor and General Motors.

Even the TikTok platform, which the Republican threatened to ban in the United States, allocated money for organizing Trump's inauguration. According to media reports, the social network allocated $50,000 for the inauguration party of the new leader of the White House, and its CEO Shou Zi Chew was invited to take part in the inauguration ceremony.

In addition to him, former US presidents were present at the inauguration, as well as the leaders of Italy, Argentina, El Salvador, and Ecuador. China's representative Han Zheng also attended the celebrations.

But Trump did not invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Later, the head of state explained that he would not be able to come to the United States due to security issues.
