The Czech Republic has delivered a 155-mm DITA self-propelled artillery system to the Ukrainian border guards, significantly boosting the firepower of Ukraine's State Border Guard Service.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that.

"A new modern unit has entered service – DITA wheeled self-propelled artillery system," the post emphasized.

The border guards spoke about the features of the DITA system:

  • High automation: the crew can consist of only two people, greatly simplifying its use.
  • Speed and accuracy: the system automatically calculates all firing parameters once the coordinates are entered, allowing for loading and aiming to be performed without human intervention.
  • High rate of fire: the automated system ensures a quick response to combat missions.

The State Border Guard Service emphasized that thanks to the Czech Republic's support, the new modern equipment will soon perform tasks on the front line, contributing to more effective destruction of enemy forces.

"Soon, the self-propelled howitzer will destroy the enemy on the front line," the border guards concluded.

For reference:

At the end of December 2024, the commander of the National Guard, Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko, reported that in recent months the National Guard had received 155-mm Zuzana and DITA self-propelled artillery installations, and the process of receiving combat vehicles is ongoing.

It is worth adding that the Czech manufacturer and exporter of weapons, Excalibur Army, manufactures the 155-mm DITA self-propelled artillery installations. Earlier this year, the Netherlands ordered nine DITA self-propelled artillery installations from the Czech Republic for delivery to Ukraine. According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense, the DITA self-propelled artillery installation can hit targets at a distance of tens of kilometers.

Also, in March 2023, the caring Czechs raised money to purchase one RM-70 multiple-launch rocket system for Ukraine, which they named Přemysl.

As Rubryka wrote, the Czech initiative "A Gift for Putin" (Dárek pro Putina) announced the final stage of assembling 15 Victor mobile air defense systems for Ukraine.
