Ukrainian drones and Neptune missile target Russian warehouse with ammunition and reconnaissance UAVs

On the night of January 10, near the village of Chaltyr in the Rostov region, an ammunition storage facility and reconnaissance drones were targeted by a strike from both drones and a Neptune missile.

RBC-Ukraine reported that with reference to sources in the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).

On the night of January 10, the Security Service's drones and a Neptune missile targeted an ammunition storage facility and reconnaissance drones near the village of Chaltyr in the Rostov region. The sources report that the Security Service drones initially overwhelmed the Russian air defense, followed by the Neptune striking the facility.

The SSU noted that Russians had been complaining all night on social networks about the sounds of flying drones, the work of Russian air defense, and writing about an intense explosion, probably the arrival of a Neptune.

Later, locals discussed multiple explosions near Chaltyr, which indicate secondary detonation of ammunition.

"The SSU, together with the Navy of Ukraine's armed forces, hit a significant target – a warehouse with reconnaissance drones that correct enemy strikes on Ukrainian cities and the front line. Now, the number of Russian "birds" in the sky will decrease. Work on military facilities in the enemy rear will continue," an informed source in the SSU reported.

On the night of January 10, 2025, unknown drones attacked at least five regions in the Russian Federation. Fires broke out in a number of them.

According to reports from local media, the PlastiFaktor plant in the village of Krym, which manufactured floor coverings, also experienced a fire in the area. The fire covered 2,000 square meters and has been put out.

Moreover, a fire broke out in the Leningrad region of Russia at an acetone production plant.

According to Andrii Kovalenko, the Center for Countering Disinformation director at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the damaged factories are actually "disguised military facilities."

"Russia is passing off military plants as ordinary ones, trying to hide their real products. But everything is known," Kovalenko wrote.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported this morning that the air defense forces allegedly shot down 40 UAVs, 16 of them directly in the Rostov region.

For reference:

It was also reported that on the morning of December 21 in the city of Kazan, Russian Republic of Tatarstan, unknown drones hit the upper floors of a building in the Azure Skies residential complex.

Specifically, a gunpowder factory operating in that area is crucial to the Russian military industry. According to Kovalenko, Kazan is a significant hub for the Russian military industry, largely due to the Kazan Gunpowder Factory. This essential facility plays a vital role in supplying the Russian army with ammunition and parts for building missiles.

On the night of December 19, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the infrastructure and production facilities of JSC Novoshakhtinsk Oil Products Plant, located in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. The Naval Forces of Ukraine's armed forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and other defense components participated in this operation.
