Russian military launches massive attack on Ukraine with 70 missiles and 100 drones on Christmas – Zelensky
The Russian Federation launched more than 70 missiles and 100 drones on Ukraine on Christmas Day, December 25. Air defense forces managed to shoot down more than 50 missiles and a significant part of the drones.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that on Telegram.
"Today, Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhuman? More than 70 missiles, including ballistic missiles, and more than a hundred strike drones.
The targets are our energy sector. They continue to fight for a blackout in Ukraine," the head of state noted.
According to preliminary data, Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down more than 50 missiles and a significant part of the drones that the Russians launched the night before.
The leader informed that there were power cuts and blackouts in multiple areas. Electricians are diligently working to reinstate power as soon as possible.

"Thank you to everyone currently working for the country, on combat duty, and protecting our sky. We will restore the maximum. Russian evil will not break Ukraine and will not distort Christmas," Zelensky stressed.

In general, explosions were heard in several regions. In particular, they were heard in Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Kremenchuk in the Poltava region, as well as Samara, Kryvyi Rih, Kirovohrad region, Zaporizhzhia, and Svitlovodsk.
The occupiers again massively attacked the energy sector. Preventive power outages have been introduced across Ukraine.
