Ukrainian drones obliterate Russian arms depot in Donetsk region

In the part Donetsk region temporarily occupied by Russian occupiers, the Security Service of Ukraine executed a targeted operation and successfully hit enemy ammunition and weapon storage areas.

RBC-Ukraine reports this, referring to its sources in the Security Service of Ukraine.

The other day, Security Service drones attacked artillery and mortar depots near the village of Markine in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.

At the struck depot, the Russians stored:

• thousands of ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles, tanks,
• anti-tank guided missiles,
• mines,
• grenades,
• millions of rounds of various calibers.

Drones destroyed the depot. A severe fire broke out there as a result of the strike.

According to the sources, explosions rang out all night due to the Security Service's special operation at the enemy facility.

Not only was the ammunition depot obliterated, but the nearby fuel and lubricants depot was destroyed as well.

It should be noted that on December 10, an emergency evacuation was announced in the occupied city of Yenakiieve, Donetsk region, after explosions were heard near the settlement.

It is worth recalling that the Russian army continues to spend a large amount of human resources to reach the border of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The situation at the front in the Pokrovsk area is still tense, and intense fighting is ongoing. The enemy holds a more significant number of troops there.

Russian units are actively advancing south of Pokrovsk, concentrating their efforts in the areas of the settlements of Novyi Trud and Dachenske. As analysts warn, such maneuvers create the prerequisites for Russian troops' approach to a distance of about six kilometers from Pokrovsk.

As analysts emphasize, the capture of Pokrovsk is part of Russia's overall plan to establish control over the entire territory of the Donetsk region. Despite record losses, Russian troops may continue active combat operations on this front even after the winter of 2024–2025.

Furthermore, Russian troops are currently launching an assault on the southeastern outskirts of Kurakhove. According to military sources, the enemy is aggressively attacking this area to seize control of Kurakhove regardless of the cost.
