Solutions to win: Ukrainian-made SOVA drone receives approval for defense forces usage
The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved a new Ukrainian-made SOVA 10 UAV for use in the Defense Forces.
Ukraine's defense ministry reported that.
This strike drone can carry a combat load of several kilograms and operate in various weather conditions at a wide range of air temperatures.
"Each new model is manufactured taking into account the technical recommendations of the military," Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov said.
It should be noted that Rubryka previously reported that the Ministry of Defense will allocate an additional UAH 1.1 billion to purchase drones. These funds will be transferred directly to the brigades to finance the most critical needs.
The Ministry of Defense has also codified and approved the operation of the domestically produced TOKKO unmanned aviation complex. Its kamikaze drones are resistant to the effects of enemy electronic warfare.
For reference:
As of October this year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and authorized 70 engineering assets for use in the Defense Forces. Of these, 47 are domestic and 23 are foreign-made. More than 40 assets were codified during the third quarter of 2024.
Additionally, the defense department has officially sanctioned using the UNITS interactive training system in the Defense Forces. This system was created by Ukrainian engineers and is specifically tailored for both individual and group fire training purposes.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and allowed the Safari HG-105M semi-automatic shotgun to be used in Defense Forces units.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Defense has activated an online artillery training ground designed to train artillery unit specialists.
A team of Ukrainian programmers created this complex as a digital tool to assist in conducting exercises that involve combat calculations for different types of artillery weapons.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense has implemented new standards to ensure the quality of material support items for Ukraine's armed forces. Product samples will now undergo technical inspections and testing using state-of-the-art methods that adhere to international standards.
