The Ministry of Defense presented innovative military developments at the NATO Edge 24 exhibition in the United States.

The Ministry of Defense reported this.

"The NATO Edge 24 exhibition in the United States presented digital innovations of the Ministry of Defense that help our military effectively perform tasks on the battlefield," the report reads.

In particular, the Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies presented:

Lieutenant Colonel Artem Martynenko, Deputy Head of the Innovation Center, informed the conference participants about the use of the Avengers artificial intelligence platform, which detects and analyzes video data from drones and stationary cameras.

He also mentioned that the Innovation Center owns the Universal Military Dataset (UMD) which is known as the top, highly detailed annotated dataset of Russian military equipment globally.

He stated that "Ukraine is forced to be an advanced country in innovation to protect itself and fight a large and brutal enemy. We did not choose this reality, but in the current conditions, we use every opportunity and available resources to create effective solutions."

"Russia's large-scale invasion opened up access to thousands of photo and video materials with enemy equipment. We collected this data set, organized it, and labeled it.

And this helped us create a "factory" for artificial intelligence models. This is what became the basis for the development of the Avengers platform," Martynenko added.

Lieutenant Colonel Yelyzaveta Boyko, head of the Innovation Center Department, discussed the role of the Delta system in the successful conduct of several combat operations.

As examples, she cited the sinking of the large landing ship "Tsesar Kunikov" and several other critical Russian ships during sea missions. It also destroys a multi-million enemy air defense system using a drone worth a thousand dollars.

The conference organizers thanked Ukraine for the participation of the Ministry of Defense delegation in NATO Edge 24 and for transferring current experience in using technologies directly from the battlefield.

The organizers also emphasized Ukraine's status as a reliable NATO partner.

For reference:

In December 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine would manufacture a million drones next year.

In addition to 1 million FPV drones, Ukraine will produce over 10,000 medium-range strike drones and over a thousand drones with a range of 1,000 km in 2024.

The Ukrainian market for drone production is actively developing; currently, over 100 companies manufacture drones in the country.

Earlier, the head of the security service reported that Ukraine had produced a unique maritime surface drone called the "Sea Baby." These drones are made in Ukraine, but the factories are underground.

Ukraine has also established serial production of the domestic analog of "Shahed" drones. Dozens of such drones are produced each month.

Also, the country began the serial domestic production of Cobra strike drones. Engineers from Kryvyi Rih developed these drones, with a flight range of up to 300 km.

The construction of a Bayraktar drone production plant continues in Ukraine. The plant plans to produce over 100 drones annually.

On Independence Day, August 24, Zelensky announced that Ukraine had successfully utilized a new domestic drone missile called Palianytsia. The President emphasized that this innovative weapon and other solutions, such as the Palianytsia missile, demonstrate Ukraine's proactive approach while partner nations may be delayed in making decisions.

Also, on the occasion of Ukraine's Armed Forces Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky handed over the first batch of the latest "Peklo" drone missiles to the Defense Forces.

Aside from the previous advancements already announced, such as the Palanytsia cruise missile revealed on Independence Day and the Peklo drone missile officially introduced on December 6, there is more groundbreaking news this year – the Ruta missile. It has undergone successful testing and can reach 500-800 km/h speeds.
