United to win: Canada approves nearly $600 mln in military aid to Ukraine
The Canadian Parliament's House of Commons has approved allocating 764 million Canadian dollars (equivalent to 587 million US dollars) to aid Ukraine. This budget is included in a comprehensive document outlining the Canadian government's additional 21 billion Canadian dollars in expenditures.

According to Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair, the allocated funds will be directed to:
- ammunition,
- training of the Ukrainian military,
- other necessary means to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
In addition to military support, the document provides for:
- 400 million Canadian dollars (307 million US dollars) for financial assistance to Ukraine through a special IMF account,
- 45 million Canadian dollars (35 million US dollars) for humanitarian demining and improving cybersecurity in Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the opposition Conservative Party of Canada, which advocates for the current government's resignation, voted against this budget document. However, the allocation of funds was approved on the last possible day allowed by law. For the final entry into force, the decision must be approved by the Senate of Canada, which is expected shortly.

Canada has expanded the list of prohibited weapons and is considering the possibility of transferring specific seized models to the Ukrainian military.
