The commander of the Navy, Oleksii Neizhpapa, reported that.
According to the commander, the attack was aimed at destroying the surveillance systems of the Russian troops located on the captured gas platforms in the Black Sea. The Russian military used these platforms to monitor and coordinate their actions in the region.
"The hunt for the enemy in the Black Sea continues. The occupiers will not remain on our territory – we will get them everywhere," Neizhpapa emphasized.
It is worth noting that the destruction of surveillance systems makes it difficult for the Russian troops to control the situation in the Black Sea.
It should be noted that in September 2023, units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense conducted a special operation, which resulted in Ukraine regaining control of gas and oil platforms in the Black Sea between Crimea and Odesa. These facilities are better known as the "Boyko rigs."
For reference:
Russian troops seized Crimea in 2014. Over the years, the occupiers have set up a large number of military facilities on the peninsula, ensuring the supply of the Russian group, which is participating, in particular, in the large-scale war against Ukraine.
In August 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a submarine and an enemy S-400 anti-aircraft missile system in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Also, it was discovered that the Russian-controlled oil depot in Fedosia, located on the Crimean peninsula, had been severely damaged after being attacked by the Ukrainian military on October 7. Photos of the aftermath were shared online.
Also, on November 29, soldiers of Ukraine's intelligence struck three Russian radar stations in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
