BGV Charity Fund Recognized in the "Digitalization" Category at the International "Partnership for Sustainability Award 2024"
BGV Charity Fund was honored in the "Digitalization" category at the international "Partnership for Sustainability Award 2024" for its project aimed at providing access to education for children among internally displaced persons (IDPs) from socially vulnerable categories.
According to BGV Charity Fund, the project was implemented in 2023 in partnership with the non-profit organization #WeAreAllUkrainians, the international organization Plan International, and with the support of the Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman. As part of this initiative, 5,100 schoolchildren received free tablets, along with guides containing dozens of useful educational apps.
Key aspects of the project:
- Continuous access to online education: Thanks to cooperation with telecommunications partner Vodafone Ukraine, all tablets were equipped with SIM cards providing prepaid 4G internet access for one year.
- Wide geographic coverage: The project spanned seven regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy.
- Logistics partner: Nova Poshta ensured free delivery of the tablets to 518 settlements.
"Partnership for Sustainability Award" is an annual international award organized by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine. It recognizes the best projects implemented through partnerships between businesses, government, and civil society that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and supporting Ukraine during the war.
