Russia's massive nighttime assault: Shahed UAVs strike Zaporizhzhia, leaving a child injured and drone debris falling in Kyiv
On Sunday evening, November 24, Russian troops launched another attack on Ukrainian territory using strike drones from multiple directions. The attack caused damage to a critical infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia and resulted in a 16-year-old girl being injured. Destructive debris was also reported in Kyiv due to the Russian drone attack. Furthermore, the enemy targeted energy infrastructure at night, leading to power outages for consumers in the Mykolaiv region.
The Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces, Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, and Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram.
Enemy strike drone attacks continue almost around the clock. The previous warning was lifted on November 24 at 5:18 p.m., but around 7:00 p.m., another alert for drone strikes was issued in the Sumy region.
Later, the Air Force reported enemy UAVs in the Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
At 10:20 p.m., the Air Force reported UAVs heading towards Kyiv from the northeast.
At 11:55 p.m., the Air Force reported several UAVs over Kyiv.
Later, the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces reported the movement of several groups of strike drones in different regions.
As of 6:38 a.m. on November 25, the strike UAV movement was as follows:
- UAVs are observed in the western Chernihiv region, frequently altering their flight trajectory.
- UAVs have been spotted in the northern Kyiv region, consistently adjusting their course.
- UAVs originating from the southern Zhytomyr region are heading towards the Khmelnytskyi region.
Drone attack on the capital
As the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration informed about the consequences of the Russian air attack on the Ukrainian capital, in the Dniprovskyi district of the city, "a balcony window on the 9th floor of a 9-story residential building caught fire."
"Information about the victims is being clarified," he said.
The administration later stated that in the Dniprovskyi district, in another area, cars were damaged by debris from the attack by the Shahed drone.
"Preliminarily, there is no fire or victims," the Kyiv City Military Administration reported.
In addition, debris was also recorded falling on a private building in the Darnytskyi district of the capital.
"Preliminarily, there is no fire or victims. The operational report is being updated," the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration added.
At 1 a.m., the administration stated that after receiving new information, they could not confirm reports of a balcony fire caused by a UAV attack in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital.
Drone strike on Zaporizhzhia
On the night of November 25, the Russian occupiers launched strike drones over Ukraine during another air attack.
Later in the evening, it was reported that explosions were heard in the Zaporizhzhia region, and enemy UAVs were spotted there.
An infrastructure facility was damaged due to the massive Russian attack by Shaheds on Zaporizhzhia.

As reported by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on the night of November 25, numerous kamikaze drones were sent over the city by Russian invaders during an air attack.
"Several private houses and a non-residential building were damaged in the city as a result of the attack by the blast wave and debris," the head of the regional military administration said.
In addition, the official added that one child was injured.
According to updated data, a 13-year-old boy was injured. Earlier, there was information about the injury of a 16-year-old girl.
"According to updated data from doctors, this is a thirteen-year-old boy. Doctors assisted the spot. Hospitalization was not required," Fedorov reported.
Situation in the region
Throughout the day, the invaders conducted a total of 200 strikes on nine settlements within the Zaporizhzhia region:
- 107 different UAVs, each with various modifications, targeted Zaporizhzhia, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, and Novodarivka.
- In addition, 5 MLRS attacks targeted Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, and Novodanylivka, while 88 artillery shells were fired on Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, and Novodarivka.
- These attacks resulted in 10 reports of destroyed residential buildings and damaged infrastructure.
Mykolaiv region
The enemy attacked the energy infrastructure with drones at night, as a result of which subscribers in the Mykolaiv region were disconnected.
"As a result of the enemy's night attack on the energy infrastructure, subscribers are disconnected.
Energy workers have already supplied most of the consumers; restoration work continues. There are no casualties," Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram.
Kim added that on the night of November 25, two Shahed 131/136 UAVs were destroyed by air defense forces and means in the Mykolaiv region.
According to him, the enemy attacked the Kutsurubska community with FPV drones yesterday at 1:30 p.m. and today at 5:50 a.m. The Russians also launched mortar shelling on the waters of the Ochakivska community at 16:13 the day before, but thankfully there were no casualties.
Sumy region
In the Sumy region, air defense units shot down 17 Russian Shahed drones.
"Today, November 25, in the sky over the Sumy region, air defense units shot down 17 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type," the Sumy regional military administration reported on Telegram.
Since the beginning of the year, the Sumy region's defenders of the sky have destroyed 593 Russian drones.

On the night of November 24, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with 73 Shahed-type strike UAVs and drones of an unidentified type. Air defense forces managed to destroy 50 enemy drones.
In addition, 19 drones were lost in location, presumably due to active countermeasures by the Defense Forces' electronic warfare.
It should be noted that on the night of November 24, Russian invaders once again attacked Kyiv with unmanned aerial vehicles. Enemy drones were approaching the capital from different directions.
