Ukraine places third at Junior Eurovision 2024
Georgia was declared the Junior Eurovision Song Contest winner, held in Madrid, Spain. Twelve-year-old Artem Kotenko from Ukraine took third place.

Artem Kotenko, the Ukrainian representative, was born in Okhtyrka, Sumy region. He had a strong desire to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
According to Artem, he dreamed of representing Ukraine because he wanted to hear in Europe and worldwide that people in Ukraine are now being deprived of their homes.
"And a home is the most important thing in life, something you can never give away, and that's why we are fighting for it now," the singer said.
He is now 12 years old and has been singing since he was three years old and performing on stage since he was four.

The countries that received the highest scores, North Macedonia and Poland, both got 12 points each. However, when the audience's votes were included, Ukraine's ranking dropped to third place with a total of 203 points.
A young Georgian singer named Andrii Putkaradze won the victory with his song "To My Mom," which is a dedication to his mother. He started singing at the tender age of two and eventually joined the vocal group "Children of the Sea." At the Zakaria Paliashvili music school, he also excels at playing the piano. Andrii's most notable accomplishment was triumphing in the popular singing competition RANINA, held by the GPB television network.
