Solutions to win: startup festival in Kyiv showcases revolutionary front-support innovations
At the "Sikorsky Challenge 2024" festival in the capital, innovative startups were showcased to reinforce Ukraine's armed forces and achieve technological superiority on the battlefield for peace and security.
The General Staff of Ukraine announced this on Facebook.
Delegates from the military, defense industry, top foreign companies, scientific associations, international funds, investment firms, and universities attended the festival.
Some top technological projects that the Defense Forces are currently interested in are:
- advancements in electronic warfare,
- enhancements to unmanned aerial vehicles,
- ground robotic systems,
- and utilizing artificial intelligence to optimize complex systems.
"Presently, an ecosystem is forming in the military that will facilitate the effective deployment of cutting-edge technologies to the battlefield. To achieve this, conditions are being established to thoroughly and efficiently test innovative developments in training facilities and experimental combat units. Following this, these developments should be swiftly put into mass production and provided to the troops," the General Staff noted.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's armed forces, Colonel Andrii Lebedenko, emphasized:
"War is a combination of people and weapons. It's a question of proportions. We are moving towards high-tech weapons precisely to protect the lives of service personnel."
For reference:
In collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Information, it's worth mentioning that the General Staff carries out the "Iron Range" project, which enables military manufacturers to efficiently utilize equipped sites for testing various forms of radio-electronic warfare.
In addition, the Vezha battlefield video analysis platform became operational in the DELTA combat system. It transmits broadcasts from drones in real-time and ensures the effective defeat of the enemy.
It should be noted that DELTA is one of the three most popular combat systems that the Ukrainian military uses most often.
At the NATO CWIX24 exercises in Bydgoszcz, Ukraine's DELTA combat system successfully integrated with Poland's TOPAZ artillery fire control system.
