The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov; the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov; Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky; the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhii Popko, and the State Emergency Service reported that.
Guided aerial bomb targets a high-rise building in Kharkiv
On the evening of October 30, the enemy struck the Saltivka district of Kharkiv. Presumably, the occupiers used the FAB-500 guided aerial bomb. The fourth floor of a high-rise building was hit in the strike.
Later, Synehubov announced that a fire had broken out at the location of the strike. The entire entrance to the house was nearly destroyed.
There are people trapped on the upper floors of the entrance. Among them, two are in critical condition – an 11-year-old child and a 22-year-old man.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky published a video from the site of the attack in Kharkiv.
"Unfortunately, there are victims, including children. There may be more people under the rubble. All the necessary services are in place. The partners see what is happening every day. And in these conditions, each of their delayed decisions is at least dozens, if not hundreds, of such Russian bombs against Ukraine. Their decisions are the lives of our people. That's why we must stop Russia together and do it with all possible force," Zelensky wrote.
At first, Synehubov stated that 14 individuals had been hurt, with at least three trapped under the debris, including a woman and a child.
At 12:17 a.m., Terekhov announced that there were 24 casualties. Later, at 12:47 a.m., Synehubov shared the unfortunate news that a child had passed away. Despite the doctors' best efforts, they were unable to revive the boy.
Another 29 people were injured.
According to Viktor Zabashta, the director of the local emergency medical center, the child who tragically passed away in a house in Kharkiv due to a Russian attack was found under the debris with a severe head injury, broken bones, and no signs of life. Resuscitation attempts were made for 40 minutes, but sadly, the child, who was most likely around 14 or 15 years old, could not be saved.
The prosecutor's office for the Kharkiv region also stated that the boy was rescued from under the debris at approximately 11:50 p.m.
At 6:40 a.m., Synehubov wrote that 34 people were injured at that moment.
One child has passed away. Rescuers were able to retrieve body fragments from under the debris. An identification examination will be conducted, bringing the total number of deceased to two.
Attack of Russian attack drones on Kyiv
Due to a strike by enemy drones, debris was reported in Kyiv's Podilskyi district.
Popko mentioned at 6:15 a.m. that debris fell in the Podilskyi district, resulting in a fire on a 50-square-meter patch of grass. The fire was put out.
There were no reports of casualties or destruction.
At 6:40 a.m., Popko reported that the fire in the Podilskyi District of Kyiv was extinguished.
Windows in three nearby five-story residential buildings and two-story administrative buildings were also damaged.
There is also information about damage to a high-voltage power line.
No victims were reported.
It should be noted that the capital experienced two air raid warnings during the night, and the city's anti-aircraft defenses were active on its outskirts.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the Russians conducted 20 airstrikes on the capital during the month of October. Only one day out of 31 did not see an air raid alarm. Typically, Kyiv residents heard sirens twice a day.
"This attests to the ongoing, systematic terror inflicted upon the peaceful civilian population of Ukraine," the administration emphasized.
The State Emergency Service posted a photo from the location where the wreckage landed.
For reference:
It should be noted that the Russian invaders launched a massive missile attack on Odesa on the evening of October 30. The enemy fired about ten rockets of various types. The air raid alert sounded at 7:20 p.m. and lasted for an hour.
