Massive blasts rock Russian-occupied Luhansk

On the morning of October 29, loud explosions were heard in Luhansk, which is currently under Russian occupation. Preliminary reports suggest that the explosions targeted a former military base, possibly used by the occupiers to store ammunition.

The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysohor, reported that.

The leader of the local military authority stated that there had been reports from residents since early morning about the sound of ammunition exploding. Videos have also surfaced on social media, showing thick smoke and an explosion following the supposed attacks.

Lysohor believes that this ammunition warehouse might have been meant to supply Russian troops on the front line. Earlier, this location was home to a deactivated military unit that the invaders most likely converted into a weapons storage facility.

Lysohor noted that traffic is currently blocked in Luhansk near Horkyi Park, a recreation area for the townspeople.

"However, the Russians cynically place warehouses for weapons and equipment there – closer to the civilian population because human lives are not worth anything to them.

Today's explosions will definitely be reflected in the combat operations on the front line – it will take much time to replenish warehouses and build new logistics routes," Lysohor added.
