Solutions to win: Ukraine's defense ministry greenlights inclusion of Safari semi-automatic shotgun in army's arsenal
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and authorized the Safari HG-105M semi-automatic shotgun for use in Defense Forces units.
The Ministry of Defense reports this.
During a confined battle scenario, the rifle serves as a compact firearm and, when equipped with hunting loads, can also double as a weapon against Russian FPV drones.
Safari HG-105M is a semi-automatic shotgun with a gas piston mechanism and a removable magazine.
The gun utilizes bullpup technology, which allows for a shorter overall length without sacrificing barrel length.
This technology enables individuals to shift the center of gravity towards the center of the weapon, alleviating the shooter's strain during extended use.
The weapon is designed to use 12-gauge cartridges with a magazine capacity of five or ten rounds.
The weight of the rifle is slightly more than 4 kg.
Manufacturers and developers of samples of weapons and military equipment who have questions about the codification process can email the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment at [email protected].
For reference:
As previously reported, the Ministry of Defense has activated an online artillery training ground designed to train artillery unit specialists.
A team of Ukrainian programmers created this complex as a digital tool to assist in conducting exercises that involve combat calculations for different types of artillery weapons.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense has implemented new standards to ensure the quality of material support items for Ukraine's armed forces. Product samples will now undergo technical inspections and testing using state-of-the-art methods that adhere to international standards.
