The Rammstein group's meeting, originally scheduled for October 12, has been postponed. A new date has not been finalized yet.

Radio Svoboda reports this.

As the publication noted, the sources of "Radio Svoboda" at NATO headquarters confirm the information about the postponement of the meeting.

It should be mentioned that US President Joe Biden postponed his trip to Germany and Angola due to Hurricane Milton, which is approaching the USA.

As Tagesschau reported, Biden was planning to fly to Germany in the late evening of Thursday, October 10. This trip should have marked his first official visit to Germany in nearly four years since taking office.

In particular, Biden's meetings with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz were planned in Berlin.

Biden was scheduled to visit Rhineland-Palatinate on Saturday. The Ukraine Defense Contact Group's Ramstein-format meeting was to be held at the US Air Force base in Ramstein. Around 50 NATO member countries and other Ukraine allies, including some heads of state and government, were expected to attend.

In turn, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he understood US President Joe Biden's cancellation of his visit to Germany due to Hurricane Milton.

Following Biden, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken canceled his trip to Germany.

For reference:

There's a video on the Internet showing what Hurricane Milton, currently headed toward the USA, looks like from space. It's worth noting that millions of people are in danger.

Hurricane Milton, with winds reaching up to 257 km/h, has been classified as a Category 5 storm—the most powerful category. It can break records and possibly become the strongest storm ever recorded.

Based on predictions, Florida will be hit the hardest: due to the risk of fatalities, residents from fifty counties are being evacuated, and airports, businesses, and companies are all shutting down.

At the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, which was scheduled for October 12 and where the leaders of allied countries were expected to gather, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had intended to present his Victory Plan.

On September 26, US President Joe Biden announced a meeting in Germany in October at the leader level for the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format).

Zelensky also stressed that at the Ramstein-style meeting on October 12, Ukraine and its partners would determine joint actions and a shared vision for increasing pressure on Russia.
