Russian UAVs target Odesa and Poltava regions, damaging buildings and causing injuries
On the night of October 9, Russian forces launched an attack on the Odesa region using drones. This resulted in damage to a medical facility and a high-rise building, leaving five people injured. Additionally, the aggressors also targeted the Poltava region, causing damage to an industrial facility.
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, and the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Filip Pronin, reported that on Telegram.
Odesa region
According to the head of the military administration, the attack in the Odesa region damaged the windows and exterior of the nine-story building, but there was no further ignition.
"Five people were injured. Three of them were hospitalized in a moderate condition," he added.
In addition, according to the head of the regional military administration, the attic floor of the unfinished building caught fire.
"The fire, with an area of 400 m², was quickly extinguished. The glazing of the building of one of the medical institutions was damaged," Kiper noted.
Poltava region
As Pronin reported, on the evening of October 8, Russian troops attacked the Poltava region, as a result of which an industrial facility was damaged.
"Yesterday evening, the enemy attacked Poltava region with three ballistic missiles. There is damage to an industrial facility in the region," the head of the region said.
Pronin clarified that there were no casualties.

On the night of October 9, Russian invaders attacked several Ukrainian regions with Shahed-type drones and ballistic missiles.
According to the military report, the Russian invaders initiated the launch in the Poltava region using three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
They also deployed 22 attack UAVs from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia, and Cape Chauda, Crimea.
Due to the anti-aircraft combat, the Ukrainian air defense forces managed to take down 21 enemy drones.
It is worth mentioning that the Russian invaders carried out an attack on the Odesa region with drones on the night of October 8. In Chornomorsk, a high-rise building was struck, resulting in multiple fires on various floors.
Also, on the evening of October 7, Russian troops attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa with a ballistic missile. As a result of the attack, a citizen of Ukraine died, and five foreigners were injured.
