Firefight continues at Feodosia oil filling station attacked by Ukraine's armed forces; over 1,000 locals evacuated
In Feodosia, a city temporarily occupied by Crimea, authorities are working to extinguish a fire at an oil filling station in the port. The attack, which the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out on the night of October 7, has resulted in over a thousand evacuations.
Igor Tkachenko, the head of the city's occupation administration, reported this on Telegram. Moreover, the Krym.Realii project informed about that.
According to the publication, flames and smoke can be seen from different parts of the city and even beyond its borders.
Some of the roads near the oil depot were closed.
At approximately 9:07 p.m., the Crimean Wind Telegram channel announced that another tank at the oil depot had caught fire. Emergency responders, including firefighters and ambulances, were immediately called to the scene.
"Fire elimination work continues; all involved services are in operational communication with the headquarters," Tkachenko said.
He said that 1,047 individuals who resided near the emergency site – specifically in the Black Sea coast and Blyzhni Ocherety areas – were relocated to temporary housing facilities.

The terminal burning in Feodosia is the largest in Crimea in terms of transshipment of oil products. There are only two such terminals on the peninsula; the second is in Sevastopol.
It should be noted that a fire broke out at the Feodosia oil depot in the temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of October 7. According to preliminary information, drones attacked the object. The General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces confirmed the damage to the oil terminal in Crimea.
Later, the ASTRA Telegram channel clarified that the burning oil depot in Feodosia is actually the Marine Oil Terminal JSC, which had previously been attacked by drones. In March 2024, four drones simultaneously crashed on the depot's premises.
The attack damaged the primary fuel pipeline, causing a fire to erupt. Workers were subsequently evacuated from the oil storage facility. It took approximately an hour and a half to put out the fire.
It is worth adding that on October 4, in the Voronezh region (Russian Federation), a kamikaze drone attacked an oil depot, which caught fire. In addition, the fire was extinguished at the place where petroleum products were stored in the Perm region of the Russian Federation.
For reference:
In recent months, drone attacks on military infrastructure, oil refineries, and oil depots have been constantly occurring in Russia.
So, on the night of October 3, the attack UAVs hit the airfield "Borysoglebsk" in the Voronezh region. Guided aerial bombs are stored at the airport, and Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft are parked. Fires broke out in several areas of the airfield.
At the end of September, Ukraine's armed forces attacked the Kotluban military arsenal in the Volgograd region. Shortly before the attack, a batch of Iranian missiles arrived at the warehouse.
On the evening of September 21, in the Krasnodar region of Russia, close to Tikhoretsk, unidentified drones launched an attack on the 719th artillery ammunition depot. It was at this location that the Russians were transporting shells from North Korea.
