USAID aid for Ukrainian energy sector and modular city for IDPs — five leading solutions of the week

Rubryka presents a quick digest of the week's top 5 solutions that bring Ukraine closer to victory:

🪖 Schools for training drone operators will now be official. The Cabinet of Ministers passed a resolution allowing private schools to obtain licenses for training drone operators.

✅ Gender division in "Defense of Ukraine" lessons has been abolished. High school boys and girls in Ukrainian schools will now study these lessons together, without separation by gender.

🇺🇸 USAID will provide Ukraine with over $1 billion for energy restoration and humanitarian aid. In 2024, the US doubled its investment in Ukraine's energy sector. In addition to energy support, USAID will offer humanitarian aid, including essential items like blankets and warm clothing, primarily for displaced people and those in need.

🤝 The Cabinet of Ministers allocated 2.5 billion hryvnias in grants from Japan for energy restoration, infrastructure rebuilding, and demining. UAH 1.3 billion goes to the Ministry of Energy, UAH 520 million to the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure, and UAH 728 million to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for purchasing equipment and materials for humanitarian demining by the State Emergency Service.

🏡 A modular town for internally displaced persons (IDPs) was opened in Transcarpathia. Charitable foundations from the Czech Republic and Slovakia helped fund the project. The town includes 10 modern houses designed for families with children evacuated from frontline regions, with all the necessities for comfortable living.
