Russian forces strike Zaporizhzhia and Odesa, leaving deaths and injuries

In the afternoon of October 1, Russian forces launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia, striking at least six times. This resulted in the death of one person and injuries to 5 others. An explosion was also heard in Odesa during the day. The invaders targeted the Odesa district with a ballistic missile.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration and Monitor channel, reported that on Telegram.

"The occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia with aerial bombs," Fedorov emphasized.

As the head of the region said, the occupiers targeted residential quarters and infrastructure facilities.

According to the preliminary data, two wounded were reported.

"Information about the destruction and the condition of people is being clarified," Fedorov added.

Later, the head of the regional military administration added that one person was killed and five were wounded as a result of enemy shelling of Zaporizhzhia.

"High-rise buildings and private houses were damaged. Infrastructure objects were hit," Fedorov clarified.

According to the local government, 360 attacks were reported in the areas of Robotyne, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, and Stepnohirsk in the last 24 hours, and over 20 buildings sustained damage as a result.

Odesa region

During the daytime, Russian aggressors launched a ballistic missile attack on the Odesa region, most likely using the "Iskander-M" from the temporarily occupied Crimea.

"There was an explosion in the Odesa region's Odesa district, which involved the use of the "Iskander-M" ballistic missile. The ballistic threat remains present until it is fought off," the monitoring channel wrote in the message.
