Russia shells market in Kherson, killing seven and injuring three
Early on October 1, Russian forces attacked a marketplace in the regional capital of Kherson with artillery, resulting in the deaths of 7 people and the injury of 3 others.
The head of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleksandr Prokudin, and the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that.
"According to the investigation, on October 1, 2024, at around 9:00 a.m., Russian troops fired, probably from barrel artillery, at the center of Kherson. The shelling took place near the local market and a public transport stop," law enforcement officers said.
As Prokudin pointed out, the market's trading posts were under attack.
"In the morning, the occupiers attacked the central part of Kherson. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded. More detailed information is being clarified. Please stay in safe places! Take care!" the head of the region emphasized.
According to information from the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, the enemy launched an attack around 9 a.m., likely using barrel artillery. The shelling resulted in the deaths of seven people, including:

There is also information about three injured individuals receiving proper medical treatment.
The law enforcement officers have started a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on violating the laws and customs of war.

Over the past day, on September 30, Russian troops shelled the settlements of Burhunka, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Stanislav, Antonivka, Novovorontsovka, Nezlamne, Tomyna Balka, Shliakhove, Mykilske, Tokarivka, Veletenske, Kizomys, Kachkarivka, Beilozerka, Mylove, Dariivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Beryslav, Starosillia, Zolota Balka, Pervomaiske and the city of Kherson.
The invaders also carried out two missile attacks in the Beryslav district. The Russian military specifically targeted vital infrastructure and educational establishments. They also caused damage to a business building, a humanitarian aid truck, and several private vehicles. These bombardments resulted in 17 civilians getting injured.
