US reviews President Zelensky’s war-ending plan, views it as potentially viable

The United States of America has reviewed President Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal for ending the war and believes that his strategy "can work."

According to Voice of America, the USA's permanent representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, stated this.

"We saw President Zelensky's peace plan. We believe he lays out a strategy and plan that can work. And we need to see how we can facilitate this by talking to all the heads of state who will be here in New York," the American ambassador said.

She also added that the US has never lost hope of finding a way to peace. US President Joe Biden has been "working hard" on this for the past year with the situation in Gaza and for more than two years dealing with the situation in Ukraine.

"So hopefully, we can make some progress on that," she assured.

On September 16, Zelensky announced that Ukraine had determined the necessary points of the plan for victory in the war against the Russian Federation and was ready to present it to its allies next week. According to the Ukrainian president, the plan will be an essential step in securing support on the global stage and strengthening international law.

Previously, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv was looking to create a strategy for ending the war while increasing its military strength. He clarified that if pressure on Russia persists, it may be compelled to seek a diplomatic resolution.

Subsequently, Zelensky began discussing the "plan for victory" in the war. According to the head of state, Ukraine will retain Russian territory, an integral part of this plan. He also explained that the document can pave the way to a reliable peace — to implement the "peace formula fully."

Ukraine is set to share this proposal with its international allies. In September, the president will meet with his American counterpart, Joe Biden, to accomplish this goal. Volodymyr Zelensky intends to discuss with President Biden the removal of limitations on Ukraine's armed forces' deployment of long-range missiles.

Zelensky announced that Biden will be presented with a plan for Ukraine's victory later this month. It comprises four key points, with an additional one necessary following the war.

On September 16, Zelensky revealed that the Victory Plan was 90% completed. It will encompass military, diplomatic, and economic matters and will be presented to Ukrainian partners next week.
