The Russian invaders launched a variety of missiles and attack drones in several regions of Ukraine. The air defense forces were able to destroy 38 Shahed drones successfully.

The Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces reported that on Telegram.

As the military noted, on the night of September 10, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and escorted 48 air attack vehicles.

The Russian invaders utilized:

  • one ballistic missile, "Iskander-M," from Crimea, which Russia currently occupies;
  • one Kh-31P anti-radar missile, utilized from their airspace over the Black Sea;
  • 46 attack UAVs of the "Shahed" type, launched from Kursk and Yeisk in Russia.

"Ukrainian Defense Forces' aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire squads, and electronic warfare units were all utilized to counter the enemy's air assault. The fierce defense proved successful, with 38 enemy attack drones being taken down," the Air Force stated.

Furthermore, the military also reported that three drones had exited Ukraine's controlled airspace one towards Russia and two towards the occupied Luhansk region.

Additionally, three more enemy UAVs were discovered to have crashed within Ukrainian territory, likely due to being jammed by electronic warfare equipment.

"Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Cherkasy, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Poltava regions," Ukraine's armed forces reported.

For reference:

According to the military, multiple groups of Shahed UAVs were in the Kharkiv region and heading toward the Poltava region.

Simultaneously, additional sets of drones flew towards the Sumy region. The adversary's Shahed drones maintained their trajectory towards Shostka while their other drones in the Sumy region were making their way to Chernihiv.

At 00:27, the Russians released a fresh batch of Shahed drones from the south, then made their way through the Kherson region.

Due to the drone attack, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged in the Sumy region, and air defense was activated in the Kyiv region. Additionally, there were reports of explosions in the Cherkasy region.
