The Ukrainian Veterans' Fund reports this.
The Circle of Veterans festival is a significant event where veterans, soldiers, their families, and all compassionate Ukrainians will come together. In a welcoming environment, veterans can take a break from their daily struggles, connect with others, and share their experiences. The civilian population will also have the opportunity to get to know the veteran community and foster stronger social bonds.
"Circle of Veterans is a nationwide event where our goal is to unite veterans and civilians. With Ukraine potentially having the highest number of veterans globally, our Ministry of Veteran Affairs has reported that there are currently 1.2 million veterans. By the war's end, this number is expected to increase to 5-6 million, including their families. That's why we invite all veterans, their families, families of fallen soldiers, and civilians to come together at our festival and connect," the head of the Ukrainian Veterans' Association fund, veteran Yuliia Kirillova, comments.
The festival features six interactive zones, including an area for adaptive sports such as archery, sitting volleyball, and wheelchair basketball, as well as a variety of prizes.
Furthermore, visitors will have access to a literary area, and a marketplace where they can support veteran-owned businesses and pitch their innovative ideas to potential investors. Additionally, designated areas for photos and art will allow guests to unleash their creativity and produce something truly unique.
The art zone will feature master classes, providing a platform for individuals to showcase their talents and participate in activities like woodworking, ceramics, and painting. Attendees will be able to develop new skills that could potentially open doors for future career opportunities. Exciting competitions and engaging leisure activities will also take place in the children's area, with valuable prizes to be won and opportunities to make new connections.
For example, in the literary space, one can attend a presentation of books by veterans, particularly a reading of poems by a veteran woman, one of the brightest representatives of the poetic generation, Olena Herasimiuk, and other famous authors.
Anyone interested can attend a lecture at the psychological support center on strategies for adjusting to civilian life after military service.
The day's exclusive surprise is YARMAK, a musician and military personnel.
Admission to the event is free, but pre-registration is mandatory for security purposes. After registering, attendees will receive notification of the event's location and time.
