Zelensky to present Ukraine’s peace plan to Biden, Trump, and Harris

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is working with representatives from both major political parties in the United States. The Ukrainian peace plan will be presented to the current US President as well as the two leading presidential candidates.

As reported by Rubryka, Zelensky discussed these efforts during his evening address.

"Today, we have already begun implementing the agreements made with our partners this week. This includes the Ramstein meeting, discussions in Germany, and meetings in Italy. Separately, Ukraine's Minister of Defense and our military teams held talks in France, Britain, and Germany. We are also eagerly awaiting the results of discussions with the US Secretary of Defense. In addition, we had key talks with Chancellor Scholz of Germany and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni," Zelensky said.

The president highlighted a meeting with a US Congressional delegation during his visit to Italy.

"We discussed, among other things, Ukraine's plan for victory, including specific details. This plan will be fully presented to President Biden and both presidential candidates, Trump and Harris," Zelensky added.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine's top priority is to strengthen its position and protect cities and villages from ongoing Russian attacks, as well as ensuring that Ukrainian forces at the front have the necessary capabilities.

"These include Pokrovsk, Toretsk, the Kurakhiv direction, and other areas where Russian forces are most concentrated. I want to thank every brigade and unit that are firmly holding their positions," President Zelensky said.

He also noted that this week saw new agreements secured for Ukraine, including supplies of ammunition, financial support for the domestic production of weapons, drones, and missiles.

"Air defense remains a top priority. We continue to advocate for long-range capabilities with our partners at every level. Russia can delay peace efforts just as much as the world delays making decisive moves to defeat it. Long-range capabilities are among these crucial, strategic decisions. I thank everyone around the world who is helping us bring these essential actions closer to reality for our partners. For the steps announced at Ramstein and the other support agreed upon this week, I want to thank Germany, America, Britain, Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Romania, Lithuania, and Latvia. Thank you, friends!" Zelensky emphasized.

He also mentioned that, unfortunately, the beginning of September was marked by brutal Russian strikes.

"After the attack on the Poltava Institute of Communication alone, 220 people are still being treated in the hospital. Among them are those who are seriously and critically wounded. I want to thank all the doctors and nurses who are doing everything they can to help, working hard to save as many lives as possible. I also want to acknowledge the rescuers—the entire team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region, as well as in all the other regions where Russia targets its missiles and drones, especially in Nikopol, Pavlohrad, our other cities and communities, and in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Sumy regions, and across Ukraine. Our people and all necessary services are working tirelessly to rescue, assist, and rebuild."

President Zelensky's "Peace Formula"

A peace summit was recently held in Switzerland to discuss the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelensky's "peace formula" for Ukraine. Representatives from about 100 countries and international organizations attended the summit, where they signed a joint communiqué.

Ukraine is now planning to host a second peace summit in Saudi Arabia.

Zelensky has stated that Ukraine will "hold" the captured territory in the Kursk region, considering it an integral part of his "victory plan" to end the war. He intends to present this proposal to international partners, including the United States.
