The suburb of Moscow known as Kashira was the site of the attack, specifically targeting the Kashira thermal power station situated on the Oka River. Officials in the area said they successfully took down five drones near the capital city.
The authorities in the Tver region of the Russian Federation announced an attack by five drones "in the Konakovo area," where the Konakovo thermal power plant is located.
The governor of Lipetsk reported on the drone attack on the industrial zone of Lipetsk. However, there are no fatalities or casualties.
According to reports from the Belgorod region, several airborne targets were intercepted while approaching the city. Some of the windows in the area are damaged, and an outbuilding on the premises of one private residence has been destroyed.
In other regions, the Russians also reported on the work of anti-aircraft defense and the shooting down of aerial targets.
For reference:
In parts of Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea, anti-aircraft defense systems were activated on the night of August 30 in response to a drone attack. It was reported that the Kaluga airport was targeted. Additionally, explosions were heard near the Kirovske airfield and the town of Dzhankoy in the occupied Crimea.
According to eyewitnesses, four explosions thundered over Kirovske:
- three in the airfield area,
- one above the local railway station.
One explosion was also heard in the Dzhankoy area.
It should be noted that Ukrainian kamikaze drones attacked the Russian airfield "Savasleyka" on August 16. Three Russian planes were destroyed there.
On the night of August 14, Russia was massively attacked by drones. Even though the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the so-called "destruction" of 117 drones in eight regions of the aggressor country, the so-called Russian military commanders wrote about three Russian airfields that were under attack.
Then, the air bases of Voronezh, Kursk, Savasleyka, and Borysoglebsk were attacked.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Defense Forces delivered another strike to important targets in the Russian Federation. They specifically targeted the Russian airfield "Lypetsk," causing it to catch fire.
Furthermore, in early August, the Defense Forces eliminated Russian anti-aircraft missiles and fighters at the Morozovsk airfield. At that time, the General Staff confirmed that Ukraine's armed forces had launched a drone attack on the Morozovsk airfield near Rostov, which caused damage to an ammunition warehouse.
