According to the press service of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, Matsuda Kuninori, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine, stated this during a meeting with Vasyl Shkurakov, Acting Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.
"Today we have many needs, first of all, preparation for the next heating season, investments in the protection of the energy system, which the enemy is constantly trying to destroy, and ensuring people's access to drinking water, in particular, due to the loss of the Kakhovka reservoir. Also, the priority is to restore housing and damaged transport infrastructure and implement energy-efficient measures," Shkurakov said.

He thanked the government and people of Japan for their help and outlined Ukraine's most urgent needs.
Matsuda Kuninori reported that the Japanese government is preparing another grant aid project for Ukraine. Therefore, the Japanese side needs to understand the critical needs and challenges in recovery.

The Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine has been cooperating with the Government of Japan for a long time.
Currently, three grant projects and a technical assistance project related to restoring critical and social infrastructure are being implemented with funds from the Japanese side.
Moreover, the government of Japan is considering increasing and accelerating the supply of energy equipment necessary for Ukraine.
