Russia targets high-rise building in Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs, killing four, including a child
Russian soldiers have once again carried out an attack in Kharkiv. In the Industrial district, the Russian-guided aerial bomb targeted the entrance of a 12-story building.
The head of the Kharkiv regional state administration, Oleh Synehubov, and the head of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, reported that.
So far, four people have died, including a 14-year-old girl. Another 28 people were injured.
The 12th floor caught fire and was partially damaged. Information about the victims is constantly updated.
According to Terekhov, the invaders killed a child right on the playground in the Nemyshliansky district. Additionally, three other individuals in the vicinity were also harmed.
Synehubov reported damage to an educational institution in Kharkiv. Initial reports suggest strikes also occurred in Chuhuiv.
President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that this Russian attack on Kharkiv was "just on people, on ordinary houses."
"A Russian-guided aerial bomb made this strike. A strike that would not have happened if our Defense Forces could destroy Russian military aircraft where they are based. We need strong decisions from partners to stop this terror," he wrote.
Zelensky stated this is "an absolutely fair need," there is no rational reason to limit Ukraine's defense: "We need long-range capabilities. We need the implementation of agreements on air defense for Ukraine. This is saving lives."
For reference:
On the night of August 30, Russian soldiers launched another attack on Ukraine. Around 11:00 p.m., an air raid siren sounded in Ukraine, warning about kamikaze drones.
Already in the morning, the invaders attacked the enterprise in Sumy, a fire broke out, and nine people are currently known to be injured.
The invaders also attacked an industrial plant in the Poltava region. Fortunately, there were no casualties in this instance.
