Rubryka writes about this, with reference to the veteran's Instagram.
What is the problem?
Roman Kolesnyk, known by his call sign "Dobriak," is a devoted fan of the Dynamo Kyiv football club. He served with the Special Operation Forces Azov Kyiv unit during the onset of the full-scale war, which would later become the Third Separate Assault Brigade.
In May 2022, Roman was seriously injured: the soldier's leg was amputated, and a prosthesis was installed.
Before the full-scale war, Roman was professionally engaged in kickboxing. He also blogs, records music, and has his own clothing brand.
What is the solution?
Currently, Ukrainian defender Roman Kolesnyk went on a hike through the Carpathians on a prosthesis to raise funds for Ukraine's armed forces.
How does it work?
The veteran of the "Special Operation Forces Azov Kyiv" unit (now known as the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade) has launched a fundraiser for 1 million hryvnias. In a post on his Instagram, he declared that he would not finish his campaign until he reached his goal of collecting the total sum.
The man has already summited Mount Petros (2020 m) and is now heading towards Zarosliak (1330 m) to conquer Hoverla (2061 m).
Dobriak's solo hike fundraiser aims to support the military by providing funds for three important departments:
One million hryvnias will be used to purchase FPV drones, a car, and EW equipment.
One can join the collection via the following link.
For reference:
It's worth mentioning that during the hike on the Black Mountain Range in the Carpathians, five veterans with prosthetics from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Chernihiv region, and Cherkasy collected 6 million hryvnias (over $130,000) to support the military, after covering over 30 km and conquering Hoverla.
Furthermore, Rubryka mentioned that the "Lisova Polyana" rehabilitation center serves as a place for Ukrainian soldiers to regain their mental balance after experiencing the trauma of war. The center utilizes virtual reality and neurofeedback methods and implements various new psychotherapy techniques in Ukraine.
