The Air Force and the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that.
At 11:18 p.m. on August 26, the military issued a warning to Ukrainians about the potential use of ballistic weapons from the temporarily occupied Crimea, just moments after receiving information about the situation.
Russian soldiers launched a massive offensive on Ukraine for the second consecutive day, with explosions being reported in various locations.
Consequences of the attack on Zaporizhzhia
At 02:13 a.m., the public reported an explosion in Zaporizhzhia. In less than a minute, the explosion sounds were heard once more. More explosions followed at 02:40 a.m.
At 6 a.m., the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, wrote that as a result of the night Russian attack, one person was killed and two more were injured. The blast wave and debris damaged private houses, and dry grass caught fire in the open area.
"The Russians previously carried out seven strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia region," Fedorov added.
Subsequently, the number of victims and wounded increased, the head of the regional military administration wrote.
"Two dead, four wounded, according to detailed information, after a nighttime enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia," the message reads.
Four patients are being treated at the hospital:
"Two people – a man and a woman – died," Fedorov noted.
Kyiv and the region
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that as of 01:16 a.m., air defense was working in the region against enemy drones.
"Do not photograph or film the work of our defenders. Do not disregard safety rules. Stay in shelters until the end of the air raid alert," the regional military administration added.
At 03:59 a.m., they again informed about the work of air defense in the region.
Around 5 in the morning, an explosion rang out in Kyiv.
At 7:11 a.m., the Kyiv City Military Administration received a report about debris falling in the forest park area of Dnipro district, Kyiv. A fire had ignited in the forest underbrush, covering an area of approximately 50 square meters.
The administration has stated that there is currently no information available about the victims. It has since been reported that debris fell in the forest park area of the Desniansky district. Thankfully, there were no reported casualties.
Later, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration announced that there were no casualties from the attack.
Explosions in other regions of Ukraine
Suspilne reports an explosion at 03:21 a.m. in Sumy and 03:26 a.m. in Rivne. Another explosion was heard in Khmelnytskyi half an hour later.
At 04:46, 05:41, and 07:36, Suspilne.Khmelnytskyi reported on explosions in the region.
Early this morning, Serhii Tiurin, the head of Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, reported that two private residences had caught fire due to the assault. The resident of one of the houses sustained injuries.

President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that the August 26 assault by Russia on Ukraine was one of the largest to date. Russia launched a total of 127 missiles and 109 kamikaze drones within Ukrainian borders, but thanks to Ukraine's air defense forces, 102 enemy missiles and 99 unmanned aerial vehicles were successfully intercepted and destroyed.
In Ukraine, as a result of a massive air attack by Russian troops on August 26, seven people were killed, and another 47 citizens were injured and wounded, including four children.
