Ukrainian navy confirms destruction of Russian ferry in Kavkaz port, Krasnodar region
The Ukrainian Navy has officially confirmed the destruction of the Russian Conro Trader ferry, which was located in the Kavkaz port in the Krasnodar region.
Dmytro Pletenchuk, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, made this announcement on Radio Liberty.
He noted that the ferry was an important part of Russian military logistics for providing the occupation forces.
Pletenchuk mentioned that the ferry carried fuel and lubricants onboard. A Navy spokesperson added that the ferry was also utilized to transport weapons for the Russian army.
Additionally, Pletenchuk did not specify the method used by the Ukrainian military to strike Conroe Trader.
"This is a completely legitimate goal and, accordingly, it (the destruction of the ferry – ed.) should reduce the potential of our enemy's capabilities in those locations where they are conducting active hostilities," he said.
