Ukrainian drones destroy Russian SU-34 fighter jet and ammunition warehouse at Morozovsk airfield – Ukraine’s intelligence

Due to the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle attack on the Russian airfield Morozovsk, both the SU-34 aircraft and the enemy's ammunition warehouse were destroyed.

The press service of Ukraine's intelligence reports this.

"Space intelligence data indicate that a Su-34 fighter-bomber was destroyed as a result of fire damage to the military airfield of the aggressor state of Russia Morozovsk in the Rostov region on August 3, 2024. Two more Russian aircraft of the same type were probably damaged by debris – near the sides, ruptures from explosions," the message reads.

In addition, the enemy's aviation arsenal was utterly destroyed.

From the secondary detonation of Russian munitions, large areas of burnt land can be seen on the territory of the airfield and around it.

The Morozovsk air base, which is 265 kilometers away from the front line, has four technical buildings and two hangars that were visibly damaged and can be seen from space.

It's worth mentioning that the drone strikes eliminated most of the previous fighters from the airfield.

As reported, on the night of August 3 in the Russian Federation, attack drones attacked Morozovsk, Rostov region. Previously, drones hit a military airfield.

The airfield Morozovsk housed Russian air defense, aviation equipment, and warehouses with anti-aircraft missiles, which the Russians fire at Ukrainian cities. Ukraine's intelligence, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defense Forces carried out the special operation jointly.

Ukrainian drones successfully targeted a warehouse containing ammunition, including guided aerial bombs.

Morozovsk has already been struck repeatedly.

The General Staff has confirmed that Ukraine's armed forces launched a drone attack on the Morozovsk airfield near Rostov, hitting a warehouse that contained ammunition.

For his part, Governor Vasiliy Golubev noted that as a result of the mass attack of the UAVs on the Rostov region, "warehouse facilities" were damaged in the Kamiansky and Morozovsky districts.

The official also added that 55 Ukrainian UAVs attacked the territory of the Rostov region at night.

During the day, NASA satellites recorded large-scale fires at the Russian airfield.
