Japan's minister of justice visits Kyiv to discuss cooperation in judicial reform and anti-corruption efforts
The Minister of Justice of Japan, Ryuji Koizumi, visited the Ukrainian capital on August 5 to discuss the possibilities of further cooperation in the areas of judicial reform and combating corruption.
The Embassy of Japan in Ukraine announced this on the X social network.
"On August 5, the Minister of Justice of Japan, Koizumi, arrived in Ukraine. During the visit, he plans to hold several meetings with his colleagues to discuss the possibilities of further cooperation in the areas of judicial reform and combating corruption," the diplomatic mission informed.
The head of the Ministry of Justice of Japan, together with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andrii Kostin, visited the memorial to the victims of the Russian occupation in Bucha and the coordination center for the support of victims and witnesses in Bucha, where victims and witnesses of the war are cared for.
Koizumi also visited the Central House of Culture in Irpin, which was severely damaged by Russian shelling in the early days of the full-scale war.

On July 29, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Science of Japan, Moriyama Masahito, also visited Kyiv.
During his visit, he held several meetings with Ukrainian colleagues to discuss joint projects and opportunities for further cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres.
